You can check which headers will be signed, you can see the Selector that’s used by HES and you can change the wait time. Since nothing is configured yet we’ll end up in an empty window. In the HES console select Outbound Protection and select DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) Signing. No need to worry about the configuration, HES will deliver all the details. DKIM is covered more in detail in part II of a previous series “SenderID, SPF, DKIM and DMARC in Exchange 2016 – Part II” which can be found here: ĭKIM is about signing header information using a private key, and to decipher the signature you need a public key which is stored in public DNS, accessible for every mail server on the Internet. Set this TXT record in your public domain, start sending email and when checking the header information you’ll see your all good here:ĭKIM is a little more work to configure and takes a bit more time. In this scenario, mail from the domain (including Office 365) is only routed via the Hosted Email Security environment so the SPF record is pretty simple: SPF in itself is covered in more detail in a previous blog post “SenderID, SPF, DKIM and DMARC in Exchange 2016 – Part I” which can be found here. In this blog I will focus on implementing SPF, DKIM and DMARC in Trend Micro Hosted Email Security. Centralized mail transport is used, so mail to and from Office 365 always routes via HES and the on-premises Exchange 2010 servers to Exchange Online. Interesting case, it’s an Exchange 2010 hybrid environment with mailboxes in on-premises Exchange 2010 as well as mailboxes in Exchange Online. TrendMicro is the only vendor to offer dual-layer protection via a cloud-based API+SMTP solution for advanced threat protection. In my previous blog I showed you how I implemented Trend Micro Hosted Email Security (HES) in my Exchange 2010 environment. It is available in multiple deployment options - appliance (physical and virtual), on-premises software, SaaS service, and as a hybrid solution. Trend Micro's email security benefits from intelligence sharing across all layers of the IT infrastructure to offer connected threat defence. The result of this protects against phishing and account takeover. To date this has identified 5,400 attacks at 160 organisations, resulting in potential savings for customers of $858mil.Īnother leading feature from Trend Micro blends computer vision image analysis technology with machine learning to "see" fake log-in pages. One of these techniques includes Writing Style DNA, an AI-powered tool which helps to spot BEC scammers by analysing email content. Phishing, business email compromise (BEC), malicious URLs, malevolent attachments and accidental and deliberate data loss are all common challenges.Įnterprises that use Trend Micro get email security expertise combined with the strategic vision to anticipate the next threats.Ī cross-generational blend of security techniques is the best agreed upon approach to achieve comprehensive protection against these and other threats. Nearly 86% of all threats blocked by Trend Micro last year came via email. "In my view, this recent report takes into account our newer artificial intelligence (AI) features such as writing style analysis and computer vision, alongside solutions to protect cloud email platforms like Office 365 and Gmail that collectively helped us block over 41.5 billion threats in 2018." Trend Micro product marketing vice president Wendy Moore says, "The number one threat vector continues to be email, which drives our commitment to continued innovation." TrendMicro earned the highest score in the "technology leadership" sub-criterion (under the product strategy criterion), "deployment options" and "cloud integration," and received the highest score among all 12 appraised vendors in the strategy category.įorrester describes Trend Micro with comments including, "Clients cite effectiveness, ease of deployment, and configurability as strengths."įorrester also said, "Enterprises seeking a solution for defending against malicious and malware-laden emails should consider Trend Micro." Cybersecurity solutions provider Trend Micro has announced that it has been named a leader in enterprise email security in The Forrester Wave: Enterprise Email Security, Q2 2019 report.
